A favourite climb

A popular local climb with good roads and reasonable gradients.

Riding the Hill
.
The Strava section starts immediately past this cottage and junction but the first half km or so is pretty flat.
It starts going upwards from beside this white fence - but just 3% gradient.
There's a right turning - but keep going left and now the real climbing starts

After the turning it's 8 to 10% for a good while.
There are some flatter respites half-way, before the gradient returns to 10%
Over the brow and coast down to this cross-roads, where you have a right option for a 15% finisher...

Lawley Tripleberg is anothe way up to almost the same top.  Alternatively, once you have climbed Bufton drop down to Cardington and then on to Roman Bank.

Location - travelling towards Church Stretton on the A49 - get to Leebotwood and take the left turning.  At the T-junction turn right and then keep left and pretty soon you are on Bufton's Bank.

Last Word - a "doable" climb for all road cyclists offering good gradients over a significant length (just imagine doing the same for 15km and you have an Alpine climb!)
